BEFORE YOU START PLANNING YOUR DREAM WEDDING
Before you say, "I Do" be sure you know the meaning of Marriage.
Everyone who has made the decision to marry, wants their marriage to be successful. One of the reasons most marriages are not successful, is because most people don't know what a true marriage is. We only know marriage by what we see from our Parent's and our Grand Parent's. What we see on TV, friends, and family. Just like the old question, How do you know when you're in love? We turn to our friends and family, looking for answers while not knowing the answer is within ourselves. Loves means many things for different people. So when we ask the questions about love, we have to keep in mind, that there are many ways to express and show love within our relationships.
So many couples spend so much time and energy on planning the wedding, they forget about the purpose of Love and Marriage. Or they forget that it takes a few minutes to say, "I Do" but building a marriage takes a lifetime. It takes a lifetime to learn one another and while learning, sometimes you may get it right and sometimes you may get it wrong. But keep in mind that marriage was established as a permanent relationship, the union of two separate people - a man and a woman - into one flesh. Remember, it takes time for two separate people with two different backgrounds and personalities to become fused together as one flesh.
For an example, if you take two pieces of wood and glue them together, the two pieces of wood will become bonded together not fused. Bonded but yet still separate. If you apply enough pressure and or enough heat, the bond will break. Once the bond is broken, the two pieces of wood are free to go in separate directions. When an element is fused together, they become inseparable.

"Marriage is the deepest and intimate of all human
relationships."

Once a marriage is fused together, it becomes stronger under
pressure. Take a diamond for an example. First, what is a
diamond? The word diamond comes from the Greek word
Adamas, which means indestructible
A diamond is one of the most hardest substance on earth.
Diamonds are formed 100 miles under the earth's surface out
of elements that are subject to great heat and massive
pressure over an extended period of time. Heat, pressure and
time working together, can transform the most common
material into something beautiful.
This is a perfect example of marriage. If a husband a wife face
the pressures of life together, the harder things get, the stronger
their union will grow. Marriage fuses two people into one so
that under pressure they become so hard that nothing can
break them apart.
If bonded together, when the going gets tough, one usually
gives up and separate from the marriage. If fused together,
when the going gets tough, the tough get tougher.
Marriage was designed to be a permanent lifelong relationship
that requires time, patience, and hard work in order to be
successful.. Usually the hard work begins once you move from
living the single life to a married life. Once the wedding is over,
you realize that now you have to deal with the fact that you just
didn't marry a person, you married a person with an entire
family. You've married a person with at least 20 years of life
experiences. Because of this you'll realize that the two of you may see things differently at times. You'll have different viewpoints
and you may handle problems differently. Knowing this and understanding this is crucial to surviving married life. No one enters
into a marriage clean. Each persons brings with them their own personal baggage There's emotional baggage, psychological and
sometimes spiritual baggage. No matter what the baggage is, it tales a lot of time, patience and understanding to make a
marriage work.
Over time, and under the pressures of life, a
husband and wife can come to understand each
other more and more. The more time spent
together, the more you'll begin to think alike, act
alike, and even feel alike. You will even find
yourself finishing each others sentences or you'll
realize something is wrong without you even
asking. Now instead of saying, "yours" "mine",
now you're saying, "ours". Now your "diamond"
like marriage, shines brightly.
FUSION CREATES.........ONENESS
So, What is Marriage?
Marriage is an institution designed to be a lifelong relationship between one man and one woman. Over a period of time
while being subjected to heat and pressures of life, two people under the covenant of marriage come together and are lost in
each other to the point where it becomes impossible to tell where one leaves off and where the other begins. Marriage is a
process, a fusion of two distinct and different elements into one. A sparkling diamond which represent love, faithfulness and
commitment to one another.
True Story:
A bridesmaid, lets call her Summer. Summer was getting measured for her dress and
made the comment that she would love to get married. Then, after saying she wanted
to get married, she said she didn't want to get married. I then said to her I didn't
understand what she was saying.
Summer then said she wanted to get married but she didn't want to put up with what
marriage had to offer. She didn't want the aggravation. I was confused by what she
said. I then informed her, that there's nothing wrong with marriage. There's only
something wrong with who you choose to marry.
Summer thought about it and said, "I never thought about it that way".
